The team members quickly secured the Commandant as best they could. The next dilemma at hand was getting back to their ship. As they discussed their next action the Commandant began to stir. Phadin stood up and helped him to his feet saying, "Don't try anything. I don't want to hurt you, you've been fair to me but I will if I have to."
The Commandant's only reply was a shuddering sigh as his shoulders slumped in defeat.

Skif didn't believe the slumped shoulders for a second. He wordlessly drew his heavy blaster, making sure it was still set to stun, and kept it pointed at the Commandant.
Gesturing Drasik and Eric over to him, Skif quietly said, "Might we lay hands on a covered speeder in which to transport him back to the ship? The less people who see him, the better- especially in his current state."

Keeping an eye on the prisoner Jed sidled over in time to hear Skiff's suggestion.
"What if I head back to the starport and bring the ship here. The awning up there is retractable. We could retract it and land upstairs couldn't we? Then no one could see what's going on." Jed suggested. He hadn't thought the idea through that well but maybe the others could refine it or reject it.

"That sounds good, but I think you may need a gunner, Jed. We should have enough to guard the Commandant." Eric looked back at the Commandant. "Maybe we should keep him sedated, or stunned. Jed should take the lightsaber with him, far out of reach of the Commandant, for the time being." Eric didn't really mean to continually make a point about the saber, but if the old stories were true, the Commandant could be attuned to it somehow, making it dangerous for everyone.
Eric turned to address everyone. "I suggest we get the Commandant out of here as soon as possible, however, there is still the matter of Skif's ship. When the rest of us run, Skif and perhaps one other could remain. They won't expect that. They might assume we all left. He can continue his search." Eric turned and addressed the Commandant. "Unless you want to share something with us about Skif's ship?"

With a sarcastic laugh the Commandant replied, "There should have been plenty of clues for you guys to figure out what happened to the Longshot. However, if you need me to spell it out for you I will on the condition that you promise not to harm me in anyway."
After waiting for their reply he continued, "I had the ship quickly repainted after Phadin and Tiskal left the hangar. Phadin saw the repainted Longshot, with Tiskal piloting, blast out of the starport just before his ship left. Now I suppose you want to know where he took it? I will tell you what frequency the tracking beacon is set to after you promise my personal safety." he spoke with firmness and conviction as he made his demand.

Skif's eyebrow quirked beneath his helmet at the Commandant's mention of the tracking frequency for the Tigershark. He looked around at the group, then stepped away from the Commandant, motioning for Jed to join him.
When Jed came up beside him, Skif unclipped the lightsaber from his utility belt and handed it over to him. "Keep this in a safe place," he whispered. "I'm not sure why, but holding that thing feels right for some reason. Once we've dealt with the Commandant, I want that back."
Gesturing for Drasik to join them, Skif said to them both, "I don't know what Eric's precise intentions are here... but I don't get the impression that he's given much to lying. If you plan on something eles, then perhaps one of you might be better for 'promising' his safe passage. We want it to be as believable as possible; I want my ship back. Besides, she'll make a great addition to our efforts here."
With that Skif returned to the Commandant's side, following the others' lead on the disposition of their prisoner.

"Oh, we'll promise your safety as long as you are in our hands, and as long as there are no escape attempts and no Force tricks. What's the frequency?" Eric had no intention of torturing the Commandant or subjecting him to any physical or mental torture, but he wouldn't stand by if the Commandant tried something funny. As far as he was concerned, if the Commandant tried to escape then Drasik could put Old Matilda into action.

Jed secured the saber to his belt then motioning for Eric to follow he made his way stealthily out of the room. Deciding to go out the way they came in he headed to the ladder. It would be better to go by a route that they knew than to risk stumbling onto more guards or setting off a trap or something he thought.

Jed and Eric made their way back through the 'warehouse' and slipped through the streets back to the star port. Surprisingly enough they weren't challenged at any point during their trip. Walking up the ramp into the Skipray Jed commented to Eric, "Wow that seemed a little too easy. I thought maybe the Commandant would have raised the alarm when we attacked."
There wasn't time to ponder that though as they strapped themselves in. Jed into the pilot's seat and Eric into the gunners chair. Jed requested and received permission to take off. Flying the short distance over the city they quickly spotted the building where they had left their companions. As they approached they realized that they had forgotten to figure out how to retract the awning that disguised the roof.

Jed took a chance and used his comm to try to raise Skiff. "This is bird in the sky calling the ground crew. Can you retract the cover for the landing pad please?"

Drasik let out a disappointed grunt when Eric promised the Commandant his safety. He wanted to see just how long the Commandants Force powers allowed him to hold out under the slow burn of a blaster set to a low power energy bleed. He once saw a man survive two hours of such treatment before he talked. Of course, the rest of the captives that witnessed the horror talked without so much as a stern look, not wanting to endure that kind of torture themselves.
Drasik heard the sound of the ship's engines overhead and looked around for the roof release mechanism. He'd feel a lot better once they got off this planet.

While Jed and Eric were gone Drasik, Skiff and Phadin decided to move the Commandant to the garden area. Even with the plants it was more wide open and much more difficult for them to sneak up on someone. After a slight delay at the bottom of the ladder while they figured out how to get the prisoner up they made it to the garden. Drasik and Phadin guarded the Commandant in the stone structure while Skiff went to check on the wounded they had left behind earlier.
He arrived back just before the blastboat bearing Jed and Eric arrived overhead. He reported to Drasik and Phadin that he had administered med packs to the wounded and that they were stabilized and would be fine providing they were discovered within a few hours.
"The blastboat landing and taking off again out to attract enough attention that they will be discovered." Skiff announced. Phadin and Drasik merely nodded in response.
Moments later the blastboat could be heard overhead and then Jed called asking them to retract the cover. After a short look about Drasik discovered a control panel tucked away in the structure and quickly called Skiff over. Skiff hooked up his datapad and after a moment the cover began to pull back. Opening up in the center and retreating to two sides of the warehouse.
Seeing the cover retract Jed carefully set the ship down crushing a few small trees and shrubs as he set it in place. He quickly activated the door mechanism and the trio on the ground rushed the prisoner into the ship as Eric kept a close watch from his position manning the ships gun. Without waiting for the door to fully close Jed began to lift off again.
The blastboat lifted off then Jed pointed the nose toward space and they exited as quickly as possible. Jed didn't even notify the space port of his takeoff. After what seemed like a lifetime in the cramped quarters they made the leap into hyperspace without any signs of pursuit or alarm from the planet.
Jed with help from his datapad had plotted a course with several small jumps to disguise their destination and to protect the Stanax Storm. To be continued... ____________________________________________________ OOC: I will finish the story shortly and hand out some points.

They dropped out of hyperspace in the last known location of the Stanax Storm. Jed exclaimed in surprise as his sensors lit up with signatures of ships all around. Off in the distance he could make out several large ships blazing away at each other with smaller ships and fighters attacking one of the large ships. He quickly relayed what he saw to his teammates. ____________________________________________________ OOC: Ok great job all time for some points.
