...Brassclaw was satisfied at the results. With the parts obtained they could likely effect repairs & be able to get off this iceball--or at the very least, they could generate enough power to heat their ship's interior so they wouldn't freeze. The lure of a warm bunk to sleep in, & some good credits off their haul brought a smile to his mug...
...for a moment. As Joss finished the sensors, they heard a roar coming from the corridor. Uh-oh. This we didn't need! he thought grimly, though he was certain Joss could feel the same way. He drew his blaster & made ready for using it; looking over to Joss he muttered:
..."There's something alive in here...& it ain't us!"

A deep roar sounded as a massive shape appeared in the mouth of the second tunnel. Covered with white, shaggy hair the beast's fangs and claws glistened in the dim emergency lighting. The creature's gaze swung from Joss to Brassclaw, then charged.
Apparently wings were on the menu as the mighty wampa went for it's appetizer...

...Brassclaw wasn't keen on being on something else's menu, & felt Joss was of the same opinion. He figured Joss was the better shot, but he'd need time to get his blaster out. Without wasting a moment--he'd been in enough auctions & clearance sales to know that 'he who hesitates is lost'--he fired at the incoming beast while it was still at a distance.
...He wasn't the best shot, but if he could slow the thing down, then their combined fire might do the trick.

Never having been off-planet before, Joss had never seen such a beast as this. However, it's motive was plain enough that he had no qualms about drawing his blaster and firing off a shot.
"We need to get to a more secure location!"
Joss began backpedaling as he fired, hoping to find some room they could seal themselves off in...or even a small opening amid the wreckage that the beast could not enter.

...Brassclaw could sympathize with his cohort, but on this world in their current situation, that didn't seem an option. "I doubt we've got that option Joss--this thing looks like one of the locals on this ice cube of a planet, & can probably find the back door to this place if we run. We need to drop this thing & quick." He threw a glance at the wreckage strewn in the hangar. "Say, think you can hot-wire the guns on one of those wrecked speeders? Even if they only got one shot left, it oughta fix one of these!"
...He didn't think they really had that much time, but it was an option if needed--& Brassclaw was (possibly) a harder-to-hit target...

The wrecked speeders were mostly intact but offered little protection. The small scoutships in the hanger had also been in states of disarray and sabotage, but could offer the protection that Joss was looking for. He recalled that the Stormtroopers seemed to have merely put a blaster bolt through the control systems of the engines and weapons, rather than systematically take them apart. Other systems, such as hatch controls and enviromental controls had been left alone. In theory, Joss knew the actual weapons could still be operable.
Brassclaw's first blast zipped past the creature's ear and his second struck the mighty white beast's left side, leaving the smell of burning hair in the air. The beast did not go down, though, and seemed enraged by the attack. Quicker than the heroes could believe, the wampa leapt at Brassclaw, extending it's razor sharp claws. It barely missed, leaving Brassclaw with the feeling of cold air being waved upon his face.

...This was definitely one of those times when it paid dividends to be able to fly--especially as the creature's claws just missed him. Pudu, that was too close for comfort! Trying his best to keep out of reach of the beast, Brassclaw was deermined to keep this thing occupied until Joss was ready....which, hopefully, wouldn't be too much longer: he didn't fancy being an appetizer--especially with so much potential money on the line.
...He popped another few rounds, using his aerial mobility as much as possible. Hope Joss doesn't take too much longer with that; we can't make any money if we're something else's dinner!

The mighty beast screamed in pain as the first blast struck near it's eye, while the second scorched it's arm. Bleeding profusely, it somehow managed to live on, swiping at Brassclaw and knocking him back against the amror of a grounded scoutship.
OOC: Not quite sure what to do here, Joss, you still around???

...Brassclaw grunts as he gets the wind knocked out of him, at least momentarily. This was definitely not something he had hoped for on this mission--tolerating Yindar was bad enough. But then he remembered: there was a market for products made from Wampa. If they could kill it, they could make a bundle from the remains...& the fur would help keep them warmer in the cold.
...Trying toregain his bearings, he decided to risk getting off another 2 shots at the critter. As he squeezed the trigger, he could only hope his aim wasn't too far off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- OOC: Fires 2 shots (I figure a Stun penalty as well as multi-action, so he might not hit the critter, but we'll see)
